So excited to be doing the Jakob Owens horror short film contest for a second year in a row!! Had a fun and challenging time following this years contest guidelines!

The rules for this year were:

1. Under 5 minute total runtime (including intros and credits)

2. Only shot on tripod and/or handheld

3. CANNOT contain any VFX or CGI

4. MUST use a mask as a prop in your film

5. Must recreate a still from one of five selected iconic horror frames

At first I was having a hard time coming up with a complete story to tell in such a short amount of time and was considering a little snippet of a larger story, but after a few different possible ideas, sleep paralysis was brought up and I ran with it! Thank you to my team for being so amazing on such short notice and being apart of this production!
